Yeah. You are right. Just add CPU then you will get -$100 and some discount on CPU, too.

This is a good deal with 2tb NVME SSD.

I think You are correct, used to be 45, 55, 65% and more off MSRP deals. Now so many 20, 25 and 30% offs and some posting are getting big commissions. Some, I guess have forgot most retail prices are 60, 65 and 70%, (or more), markups on MSRP. Not like it used to be 5 or 6 years ago for sure.

Well, given that the SSD retails for $400 and the motherboard is currently $600 on Asus's site, and you include the combo $100 off, you're effectively getting over 50% off retail.

What did all the items retail for 1 year ago? Most SSD & Memory is over priced as We all know. Not trying to flame anyone, just saying some deals posted are not good deals anymore, some are commission grabbers. Which I understand people have to make a living.

The motherboard was $490 or so in deals last year, according to deal history-- it's a premium motherboard. (The 2 RAM slots thing is annoying, though.) It had a deal for $451 in April by itself.
The SSD deal price was down to about $114 last year.
So you're paying retail on the motherboard with a free SSD, as long as you also buy a CPU (pair with a 270k Plus and you get last year's 285k performance for much less money) or some other combo-eligible part if you've got a CPU already.
The thing about "what did it cost last year", though, is that last year's prices aren't coming back as long as:
  • Supply hasn't caught up with demand, which won't be true as long as datacenters continue to be built
  • Tariffs are still in place, which isn't likely to change in the short term
So you won't see that $114 for a 2TB SSD anytime soon, let alone from a respectable brand. If you need to build anything anytime soon, this is a very good deal.

Yes, You are correct on prices, good chance We can't buy memory or ssd's at a working mans price thru 2027, really to bad. It has hurt the DIY people hard, I see it everyday.

This is a high end motherboard with features such as tool-less installation of components, several 10gig usb and thunderbolt 4 ports, 5gig Ethernet, WiFi 7, 4+2 m.2 slots, higher quality components, etc. Relative to how expensive everything else is this isn't a bad price on its own, and a free 2TB m.2 drive makes it a steal in this market. That said, Newegg has gone downhill and it's a shame.
