I got a $20 chainsaw a while back from stick deals, just an impulse purchase, wanted to see what kind of chainsaw $20 can buy. It turned out to be a great purchase, it's actually incredibly useful around the house. I use it to trim branches and cut down cardboard boxes (don't do this, it's dangerous) but the question of whether a $20 chainsaw can hold up without snapping a chain and parts flying into my face is always lingering in the back of my mind. So I've been on a lookout for something with better quality. This seems decent and it's at least a house brand, still mulling whether the utility is worth $90.
Also a general rule of thumb (if you want to keep your thumb) before you do anything with a chainsaw, ask AI if it's safe first.

It's really nice that it has automatic oiling and you can adjust the chain tension without tools. Makes it easier when working in the woods.

I saw a tool only version at Lowe's for $99 the other day.
The appearance was different. More of the black over mold.

I have a few Kobalt tools and my dad swears by them. Store brand or not, they seem to be pretty solid.

Also gotta remember, those lithium batteries that come with those $20 chainsaws are very cheaply made too. Gotta be careful. Going with kobalt, ryobi, Milwaukee, etc.. is a way better option
