I would definitely get this if I hadn't found out the Gen 5 tablet exists.

Not knocking it at all and I did want this a couple months back, but found out the Gen 4 existed right around that time then the Gen 5 came out a couple days after. Still a good deal.

Yes there have been slightly better deals. And yes Gen 5 is out there (at twice the price). Having to use a USB C reader for microsd isn't ideal, but at least it's doable. Hmmm, tempting.

I bought the Gen 2 off AliExpress before they made the Gen 3 directly available in the US. Great tablet, specs are a slightly old Flagship phone but still totally adequate for current games and apps.

Wish it had a microSD port for ROMs. Otherwise seems great for emulation.

Wish this was the Gen 5 pricing, its a bigger jump for gen 5 cause of the software support, much bigger battery, improved display, no overheating issues, & faster charging. Gen 3 was the worst gen for IO, they removed headphone jack and SD card slot. Gen 4 & gen 5 at least brought the sd card slot back

Lenovo Legion tablets are very solid for the price points they are sold at, especially on sale.

Their only real drawback is the software updates are lacking when compared to other tablet manufacturers. This may or may not be important to you depending on your use case and comfort level.

For another $75, you can order the G9 controller off of Aliexpress and turn this into a gaming handheld. It'll emulate everything up to Switch and play a fair number of Windows games as well.

If you have gaming PC better to just use that for emulation, or even phone. You can already play a lot retro systems on the 8gen 1 + 8gen2. I'd be surprised if most people buying this type of device don't already have a Galaxy S22 Ultra or equivalent by now. They're ancient tech.

Yes. Its a S8G3 with 12GB, so its pretty good. However, Gamehub takes a bit of work to get games running, just like any Android device.

G9 is great as a concept, but its a pain to use. I would go with a Gamesir G8+, Razer Kishi Ultra, or a Lenovo G7 (which is a modified Gamesir G8). There is a video on this tablet by Retro Gaming Corps that should really help understand its strengths and weaknesses.
