It's a good deal if it was still available at that price. However, I wouldn't buy an MSI laptop until their reputation improves.

It is still available. You just won't see the $2999.99 price until you sign into your Microcenter account though. I'm hesitant on getting MSI as well.

The good thing with this deal is that the CPU and GPU are upgraded to the max. The Memory and Storage however are a bit lacking, but those can be upgraded by you in the future. Hopefully when prices come down a bit more...

I returned an Alienware 18" Open Box from Microcenter with the 275HX Processor, 64GB DDR5-6400 Memory, 2TB SSD, and a 5090 for $3059.99 which I ultimately returned because I just couldn't deal with the IPS panel on the laptop and the backlight bleeding.
