Last 5 - 10 years they heavily marketed and pushed into USA. Always been around but now they sponser NBA and have made other very good watches that have gone "viral" like the PRX model which exploded in popularity due to social media.

I have their 2017 limited edition MotoGP watch (i race same sport, but at amateur level...so had to have it when I saw it). I had an issue with it, and their customer service and craftsmanship of the warranty work was terrible. They replaced the custom serialized back plate with a generic one, and of the wrong color. It took months of phone calls to get it right. My wife's quartz Tissot is fine, but I will not buy another.

The larger seastars are huge on the wrist. 45.5mm and the case is very thick
