I think if we all stick to our guns and don't buy consoles at these prices the manufacturers will be forced to lower them. At least that's my hope haha!

Only sharing because with the Sam's club, it puts this bundle $66 less than the current Frontpage "free" game bundles at other retailers which essentially means you can use that on any game you want instead of one of those three options.

Funny how Nintendo say they are "pressured" to raise prices in September but we keep seeing well below current MSRP sales from warehouse clubs.
Anyway if you want a Switch 2 is now or never because the Sep price hike will make the S2 unreasonably expensive especially when you add in the cost of of SD cards these days.

IMO the Switch 2 is barely worth the price it's at now.

This isn't really much of a deal.

Yup - there's a frontpage deal for it. Many of us don't have a BJ's nearby though as they're generally only on the east coast

Which is why you'd definitely want to grab one now at a lower price. It's inevitable that I'll get one. Probably same with a current gen console like the ps5 once some of the fall quarter games come out.

If someone has a Costco membership, why buy the Switch 2 anywhere else given their return policy on consoles?

Just saw a $899 2tb PS5 at Walmart and literally laughed out loud. Ridiculous, insane, unsustainable.

Why not buy $500 worth of eShop card for $450 and then buy it from eShop? It'll be a 10% discount

That's absurd. Glad I got my PS5 at launch and added storage

Speaking totally pragmatically, a warning... Costco has become quite bearish on returns of stuff like this after a long time period. The manager does have the discretion to simply deny a return if it's 'unreasonable.'. Corporate won't step in to help either, from my experience, and will repeat this discretion line to you.

Anecdotally, My friends experience backed up like as well. She returned her Xbox Series S just over three years after purchase because of the increase in game pass pricing. Her store hemmed and hawwed and finally gave her a Costco cash card. Definitely something one could've fought harder for for...but it's definitely not as easy anymore like it used to be ... And this friend, she has returned less than five things in a decade. Not a serial returner.

For best results, you need to use a non-human to get the return done... But after my 20+ years on SD, id say that in 2026, there are simply better places and methods to arbitrage your tech purchases.

Fully expect the thumbs down to come at me from the Costco glazers, but it is what it is. 🥱
