This looks exactly like the one I bought from Walmart two years ago which I received a recall notice over. Stay away from this as it is not safe.

Rather disparaging remark. Just because 'it looks like it' doesn't mean this model/brand has a safety issue. That's like saying "my romaine lettuce was recalled for salmonella in 2021, that romaine in my salad looks just like the one that was recalled!!"

There is no official safety recall for "Tripumer" youth or kids' helmets listed by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

When I say "looks like," I mean it is identical. Buy something that's worth keeping your child safe.

Please do not buy those cheap helmets for your kids if you value their safety. I don't even see a basic CSPC certification for this, but even then, there are plenty of safer helmets from established brands with MIPS (or similar tech)

I found these information from CSPC gov websites:Are any helmets exempt from the requirements for bicycle helmets?Helmets specifically marketed for exclusive use in an activity such as skateboarding, in-line skating, baseball, or roller hockey are not covered by the requirements for bicycle helmets. What tests apply to helmets?Helmets are tested to make sure thatthey do not block the riders vision (the "peripheral vision test"),they do not come off when the rider falls (the "positional stability test),the straps that hold a helmet on a rider's head do not stretch enough to let the helmet come off in an accident (the "retention strength test"), andthe helmet significantly reduces the force to the rider's head when the helmet hits a hard surface (the "impact attenuation test").
