I'm always curious what people use this size for. Can't really fit tent, sleeping bag pad etc and your food and clothing for a multi day trip... but it seems overkill for just a day trip.
It is great for longer hike where porters won't carry everything that you have, as they have weight limit per hiker. Everything else goes in the bag (several liters of water, snacks, change of clothes, rain gear, battery pack, night light water shoes etc.

You can if you're hammock camping in warm weather. Or split packing with a trip for two people so you don't need to be able to fit all the food/water and tent in a single bag

I just bought this from this deal and it hasn't delivered yet, but I'm looking for a proper day hike "dad pack" since I have little kids, that I can also use as needed in general travel adventure capacity, a few times a year as needed.
If I did an overnight backpacking trip sure, but I will also plan to get a 65L pack for multi day backpacking.
This is intended to be my smaller, "dad mule" hiking pack that is bomb proof, toss all the family hiking crap in that I can't fit in a 20L for even a day hike
