Because it's cheaper... Way Cheaper slides and less steel.. did it to cut costs and not raise their price.

if you use an 18 vs 22, it's a massive difference. also, how far the drawers pull. a lot of 18s, leave a lot of blind space in the back.

Actually the opposite. Husky downgraded to 18" from 24" on their standard line a couple years ago

Because it's cheaper... Way Cheaper slides and less steel.. did it to cut costs and not raise their price.

I have some old craftsman POS that's small... I want a newer, bigger box but don't want crap, but I also am just a homeowner (no car work or stuff).

I mean it's up to you, if you want a buy it once box, I wouldn't get this. The quality is fairly low. If you have a Menards by you, the masterforce boxes are super nice. Otherwise us general is next best thing.

Just depends how often the drawers are sliding and how much space you want.

I'll tell you, go to the store and compare an 18" depth to 22" or 24" like masterforce. It makes a world of difference.
