bought a 1 gal.
Going to return 2 gal cost $25 in Lowes. I think 1 gal is good enough for majority of garden work

I remember years ago, these would be $7 on sale.

Some features to look out for are:
- funnel fill neck
- pressure relief valve to release pressure from a partially filled tank ( or just mix what you will use and never have partial leftover)

This ... You can't even get replacement sprayer components for less than the price for the entire assembly at Menards

This is a good feature to help save product. What I do is lean the bottle to expose the pick-up tube to air and release pressure that way.

These are a hit and miss when it comes to working. Got this and no matter how much you pump, it doesn't build up the pressure.

So does the handle lock or not? I have the Chapin one and it doesn't lock. Kind of annoying if ur continuously spraying the entire 1gal bottle

Remember to drain this before the winter, because ice will crack it from the inside at the handle

I've had 3 of homie cheap-o's shitty 1 gallon sprayers over the years. Despite babying the f*cking things, draining after each use, washing and running soapy water until it runs clear, lubing the seals... Never fails, they stop working after about a year.

The garbage tier rubber gaskets within the pump mechanism degrade and fall apart regardless of how well you treat them. Do yourself a favor and buy a better built one that maybe costs about 50% more but will last 200% longer.

Harbor freight pumps work great! No need to spend a pretty dollar!

This one has it. It is the yellow dial. You turn it to vent the pressure. However, this is still a pretty junk and low-budget sprayer. The wand is on the short side and only does a cone mist or stream spray. It doesn't come with different nozzles for different patterns. For $5 bucks more, I'd still get the Roundup sprayer at Lowe's and has the adjustable spray head (cone, fan, stream), but no pressure release valve.

If you need one now, then go ahead and get one to use. Just as a fwiw, a few years back my sister found these 1 and 2 gallon sprayers on clearance at Walmart for $1 and $2. We stocked up at those prices and are good for the future. Gave several away to friends as well.

Yea unfortunately these always end up only being good for a season maybe two. This price is just okay HD has a 2 gallon one, different brand for a couple of bucks more.

Should I use mineral oil to lubrucate the metal rod so it doesn't rust ?
