The downvotes on the GeForce NOW stuff is BS. This never goes on sale.

Probably better off getting the 65/year plan as there is no functional difference between the two premium plans.

That's pure misinformation. You get way more benefits with the top tier.

If I didn't buy a 5070 recently, I think I would've gone this route. Maybe in the near future, this will be the standard for gaming where a new GPU is not needed for most titles.

Maybe for like single player games. Isn't the input lag terrible for fast paced games?

The future that the big corporations have wanted since the subscription era began.

I absolutely refuse. So sick of pay to never own subscriptions. I hope this isn't the absolute future.

That's a fair take but if GPUs are going to cost $1,000 for the top-line ones and the subscription is roughly $200 for the top level without discounts, then five years of subscription would equal one GPU. That's pretty much the time most people keep their cards anyway. In the end you don't end up with any product, so that is a problem: nothing to resell, nothing to use on an older computer.

I did beta testing for GeForce Now a million years ago, I don't play many super twitchy games but it worked well enough to play something like Warframe for what it's worth.

Great deal! But keep in mind that signing up adds another monthly subscription to your budget and another drop of demand in the AI data center bucket

This is a great deal considering the cost of higher tier GPU and building a pc or buying a prebuilt (of questionable ) quality or buying a gaming console
Buying this service allows the average person from having to deal with the issues of building, buying, and maintaining hardware. And then buying an annual or monthly game pass.

Sure everyone hates subscriptions but this bypasses many headaches for most people.
