I dealt with the Greenworks version of this tool about four years ago. Now they routinely update their models, so the new one could be much bwtter. All I know is that with normal.garden soil (not raised beds) that has dried out and clumped, this tool just skitters on the top. The SunJoe corded deal (via SD) was much better.

I have the Greenworks version of this and I like it much better than the SunJoe from the SD deals years past. The SunJoe was capable, but the cord would disconnect on me all the time and it was a pain to drag the cord across the lawn due to where my gardens are.

The main problem with all of these little tillers is any roots, grass, or weeds wind up and start to upset the motor quickly and you have to spend time removing them.

I miss my dad's gas tiller that would mostly pulverize these sorts of things though it was considerably heavier!

That's what cultivator do, my Stihl will do the aame on compacted soils. People try to use this as a tiller but they'll be sorely disappointed. Two different tools.
