I like that it can slide over the handle on my carry-on and my carry-on doesn't fall over in the airport. Although this is not a backpack that you'd hike with or use for going around a city probably it's not that comfortable for that kind of thing in my opinion.
Just from a hygiene standard though maybe a lot of people don't think about it but I carry white 13 gallon garbage bags and this goes in the garbage bag when it's under the seat and that's because people with their shoes walk on everything and then their feet go where this bag goes. Not only that, but I had somebody spill coffee in front of me one time and somehow got it all over my bag under the seat, which was an osprey Porter 30 L. So now I always cover my bag.
