Just had these delivered. They're massive. Idk why they're so much bigger than 35's. Almost awkwardly big.

But the are accurately 40lbs each

Are your 35's rubber coated dumbells? Or are they cast iron?

Wish there were more deals on old-school hex cast iron in the heavier weights past 45's, because the heads are smaller and more dense when they are 100% iron. Rubber coated are way bigger compared to similar weight cast iron.

I have a set of cast iron dumbells, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45. And wanted the next few steps above 45. But in rubber coated versions they are gigantic, and I frequently see deals on heavier rubber coated versions, but never seem to see slick deals on heavier 100% cast iron versions.
