Ozark stepping up their game!I had one of their originals about 4 years ago or so. It was a tank for an inexpensive rod and reel.

Idk about a shark but i caught a 32" halibut in Newport beach off this thing!
Everyone with their $300-400 Daiwa/Shimano rod's were like, "effing walmart rod"

Well a lot of the kids of the Walmart family are of age and wanted different products. It kind of forced the family to start sourcing out much better quality for their bikes, for their fishing and other gear. So different age versus just having cheap gun not caring about it with the brand on it. They're a lot more competitive and the products are actually pretty dang good. Instead of having a bad reputation of cheap junk they're really stepping it up

There are lots of ozark trail stuff that punch above the price tag (for the most part). I've got lashings for my kayak to cartop it and they're good quality. Heard good things about the OTX rods too. I'd be willing to be that this combo is among the best at this price point
