I feel it's always worth the extra for the Fuel versions.

It can depend i had the m12 impact fuel and non fuel and in that case performance was identical as far as I could tell. On the grinder and m18 drills I noticed a big difference though.

This one compares to Ryobi brushless version, which one is more powerful? Which one is more reliable?

https://slickdeals.net/f/19613979 much better deal imo.

Fuel, blades, and the packout make it a better value.

This is not a good deal. This tool is brushed and the 5.0xc batteries aren't good. I owned the M18 Fuel Gen 2 Sawzall and if you want to stick with Milwaukee, it is the one to buy. I almost bought the Super Sawzall, picked it up in store and it way enormous and very heavy. This is a great size and weight. I bought it about a year for under $100 when I hacked a BOGO deal. I also owned the M18 Fuel Hackzall, which is also very good and I was also able to buy for around $100 with a hack deal. I sold both of them late last year for more than I paid for them and replaced them with Flex's 24v full-sized and one handed recip saws. I was able to buy them for $56 each when Lowe's was getting rid of their in-store Flex inventory. The Flex full-sized recip saw is amazing! Has similar cutting power to the Super Sawzall, but is the size and weight of the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Gen II. It is also very smooth with limited vibration, which not something I expected from a recip saw. The only things I don't like about it is the blade change mechanism can be finicky and the shoe adjustment is very poorly designed and only has three deaths. The one-handed Flex recip is also very good, but on par with the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Hackzall. The Flex is smoother and has a longer stroke length, but has the same finicky blade change mechanism. Milwaukee's Axe (wood with nails), Torch (metal), Wrecker (demo) and Diablo Carbide Pruning blades I've found to be the best. The Diablo Carbide pruning blades as my favorite. I've cut down trees up to 8" thick with a 12" pruning blade, use the 6" and 9" for limbing and the 6" for cutting through rots in the ground.
