It seems like it is more for remote unmanned sites and edge deployment. It is extremely overpriced for 240Wh. Unless you have very limited amount of space. It's probably not worth the price for most people.

The runtime seems pretty pitiful, 11 minutes for half load and 5 minutes for full load. I guess they're banking on the onsite fossil fuel generator to power this in an emergency?

Yeah, lithium has a large discharge advantage over SLA. You get ~50% more usable capacity per equivalent watt hour.

I've been doing some research and am close to building my own UPS with a Victron MultiPlus + some Ecoworthy batteries. It'll be much better than anything off the shelf for ~$450 (run my equipment for about 24 hours vs 3 hours if I'm lucky) and likely be more reliable. I'm glad economies of scale are kicking in for lithium batteries.

Out of curiosity which model of Victron MultiPlus and Ecoworthy are you thinking of using for around that price point?

The multiplus entry model (500VA) which can provide 420W of continuous energy is about $300. My gear uses about 100W idle and that power budget is fine for my use case. May be tight for some.

The multiplus has an inverter, charger, and AC transfer switch, so it should be an all in one solution for this. The software even has a UPS mode (enabled by default.) I don't have solar, just regular service from my power company.

For batteries, just going to use whatever 100+AH one goes on sale and start with that. It needs to be 12V because the multiplus 120V AC units use 12V DC systems. They have a few that are 48V DC (which I prefer for smaller wires) but those input/output 240V AC.
