Lol I liked it better than the movie.. But I'm weird since I thought the movies and book were boring.

Think I'm bias also because there were bewbs in the show. I don't remember any bewbs in the movies.

Palace intrigue, religious fanaticism and bloodshed as in space GOT plus an early evil Kwisatz Haderach. Good, not essential; three stars out of five. Season 2 is in post-production.

Cost is about as much as a month of HBO Max where you can find other good shows you haven't watch yet, but if you buy the disc you will own your own copy.

Depends on the movie. The 1984 one, while imperfect, is eye candy for me. Also, the 2000 miniseries, while conventional, does a good job telling the story from the book.

By the end of the season, I was hooked. Slow start but felt pretty cool as backstory to new films. Looking forward to next season.

It's okay. It adapts elements of Brian Herbert's frankly embarrassing post-Frank novels. I didn't hate it but I would caution against thinking of it as any sort of canon to either the core six novels or even Denis' movies.

I would not recommend spending money without seeing it first. Personally I found this show atrocious and insulting to the author.

Movie is a masterpiece only because of the director. It's a good story but movie is epic. Sure, it's slow but you don't rush a masterpiece.

I liked this series more than I expected I would. I'm not a die hard fan of dune though. I've enjoyed all the iterations over the decades so maybe I'm just not a tough sell

If you liked the movies, you'll probably like the show, at least to an extent. I thought it was OK, and would be willing to watch a second season if there is one.
