Do your research much better price per wh on other brands. Too many better deals on power stations lately.

I'd go with the Pecron f1000lfp over this at the same price.

Not good. I owned one for 3 weeks but end up return due to E16 code error after an charge them over night. Segway doesn't want to have anything to do with it, their customer is bs. And Amazon just list this as non returnable product. Many customer similar issue eat dirt

Great power station, bad price. Solid above average on project farm, but one of the cheapest.
Wait until its on sale ($330) at segway.com. Create an account at segway.com and do a bunch of stuff on their rewards tracker. For example, you get points for "sharing on facebook" only requires clicking a link, don't even need to have a Facebook account.
5 min later you get a $40 coupon. I got this for $289. Used it camping for a week. Works really well.
It charges at 1100w (1hr), can output 2200w, has lowish idle draw and easy 12v charging with passthrough which makes it great for compressor coolers.
The whole "expand later" thing is bogus though, they discontinued the battery part number.

Does pass through mean you can use it as a USP?

Looks like segway is 2200 watts compared to Pecron is only 1500 watts.

My order arrived yesterday. I got excited, unboxed, powered it on. The device had 55% charged on the battery but it kept beeping with 1AE error message. There is no where in the manual tell me what this error means. I googled searched it and attmpted a few resets: 1) keep power button for 20s 2) removed and re-seat the battery ....nothing helped. What the heck!!!! This thing arrived DEAD!

Isn't this exactly twice the price Segway was selling it for when they were clearing these out. If it was a continuing supported product it might be a meh deal. Considered it at $165, but prices hadn't fallen as far as they have now back when these were being cleared out.

Good luck, amazon has gotten much more difficult to deal with, might have to do a chargeback.

Segway cleared all there's out at $165, they don't want anything to do with these.

1AE / IAE error - you just have to charge it first on AC (even a few minutes but full charge is better). Mine did the same. It's probably to calibrate the coulombmeter or maybe something relating to temperature and needs to cool down by charging. You can power it off and charge it which is what I think I did so it didn't beep constantly.

Yeah I know... Segway is a Chinese company now and the manual is trash... but the power station is probably not dead. Remember that it's competing against all the other Chinese companies churning these things out and it's still fairly priced for the build and performance.

Arriving at 55% is not a bad thing. You want to store Lithium batteries around half charge to extend the calendar life of them. This is most likely the voltage at the time of manufacture, which is almost always about half, minus some basic testing at the factory.

Oh wait, actually I think I had to connect the bluetooth app to it first then it was fine. It was a while back so I can't remember. I have maybe 10 full charge/discharge cycles on it now with no problems.
My error message. https://i.imgur.com/VIfX2zn.jpeg

Yes, i didnt say arriving at 55% was bad. What i meant, was that with this much capacity, the device still did not work and errored out.
