(not to mention, then parcel shipping them again to the final customer)

Why does this American made item cost more than something made in a sweat shop then sold in flea market 3 minutes from the factory....help me understand.
And you still need to (and I repeat)...parcel ship them again to the final customer. For such a bulky item only costing $100, that could easily be $15-20 on this $100 item (especially because Costco ships 'free'). Your Japan street vendor pricing (likely from a trip you took a decade ago) seems to hardly apply on so many levels.
Not to mention, "Made in the USA?" From a company called iPack, which appears to be just a rebranding of a generic luggage. Then iPack's parent company is "Olivet International....a leading global supplier." Forgive me if I'm a little skeptical that this product is manufactured in the US. Reminds me of the old days when Walmart made a similar claim. It turned out they were just throwing Chinese items inside boxes once they arrived on the slow boat. That boxing counted as "mAdE iN tHe UsA" according to the Walton family.

And no, I'm comparing the cost here to purchasing larger, better quality luggage at a Don Quijote (not a flea market) for less than half of this in March of this year. Do you honestly think Japan makes the luggage? No, it's probably made in China, which still means packaging and shipping.
I realized after your second response whom I was talking to and remembered you're the guy who likes to argue with everyone on here about things you only have a cursory knowledge of. I'll be taking my leave now.

Sorry, I forgot you were the guy who finds fault with every post and never has any first hand experience with anything. Or do you can to share your non "cursory knowledge" here? Wait, you don't have any? The irony....
Jokes aside, it sounds like you could start a global luggage import empire and put iPack out of business with your Japan street vendor finds. I look
forward to seeing you climb up the Fortune 500 list. Please be sure to invite me when when your company has their IPO event
P.S. ...and isn't Don Quijote like the Big Lots of Japan?!? Somehow Costco seems multiple tiers higher. Might explain some of the pricing differences, no? Especially the entire part about them being in different markets on opposite sides of the planet.
