To add on to your arsenal, which should include batteries. Ryobi also sells batteries separately if you need.
With that said, this is an older model. I just picked up the newer model for $200 with the annual "buy batteries, get the tool for free" deal, essentially making the tool itself only $100. Seach Ryobi deals on here and you'll see what I'm referring to.

Most adults have batteries and tools. Why would you buy a specialized tool as your first tool? You're not buying a Brad nailer unless you already have tools/batteries

Will I ever find a slick deal on their pin nailer? I have an 18 gauge for almost 10 years. Shot thousands of brads through it with zero problems.

good reply. normally the first purchase is a drill, impact driver, charger, and 2 batteries to get going with. next may be a circular saw or a sawzall.

yes just saw the 'special buy' myself: ONE+ 18V HIGH PERFORMANCE Kit w/ (2) 4.0 Ah Batteries, 2.0 Ah Battery, Charger, & FREE ONE+ HP Brushless Brad Nailer for 200.
i have been wanting one for years, but some models had problems with them, and then they got improved. what should we look for or avoid, thanks.

I know RYOBI isn't that product, but this is still a good deal, would have picked it up if they threw in the battery

I used one of these for a small job but returned. Way to heavy ...easier to just use an air compressor powered tool

I got the deal a couple weeks ago with this and the three battery kit for 200$. I just finally sold the batteries yesterday for 100$ because I have 5 already. Just wanted the tool, wish I waited for this to save me the trouble.

edit: just realized the deal I got has the newer one.

I see that deal is even better now. $180 with the battery packs.
