Came here to ask the same. Is it cheap because it's crap, or is it actually decent?

I have the non-qled + 60hz version of this tv for the past 3.5-or-so years. At 3 years, I had to start power-cycling the tv as it wouldnt wake up from sleep using the remote. Today, the TV is on a smart-plug so when it misbehaves, I power off the plug and power back on via voice.

The wife has approved the requisition to purchase the 55" version of this TV for $218+tax. I feel like if I have to buy this TV for under $250 every 2 years, I'm ok with that.

EDIT: the current tv was purchase Nov 25, 2022 - so it's just under 4 years old. I feel like I've gotten my $'s worth from the TV. It's our main/living room TV. Edited the dates above.

Reviews seem to be mixed, supposedly it does do 144Hz but some users were reporting issues with FreeSync/VRR in Windows.
