Owned these. One of the first ever mainstream earbuds that clip. NOT comfortable on my big man ears. Hard plastic that has no bend or give. Sound quality was really good though, but for the same price there are more comfortable options from baseus, earfun, etc.

I'm familiar with "open ear" but not with "clip on".
Are there magnets holding the two points together?

its a hard plastic piece in the shape of a C that you put on the top of your ear where its the slimmest and slide it down your ear. Once its in place it definitely wont come loose, and thats the only benefit of this kind of earbud is if you are doing major movements like exercise or doing something where you absolutely dont want it to come loose because its not very comfortable, but you trade comfort for stability.

2nd this. I've tried a half a dozen clip style headphones. The c30is were the best sounding yet most uncomfortable open ear clips I've encountered. Sadly, they also didn't survive long. If you see this Anker, fix the clip and the QC and you'll have a hit product.

Used these for about 1 year till I ended up losing them and switching to Sony and he are list of pros and cons IMO

Pros

- Very stable and great for workouts
- Very useful if you want listen to music but still maintain awareness of your surroundings
- Functions as a fashion accessory and kinda of looks neat if your into that sort of thing
- Sound quality is meh but probably the best for something in this category IMO but to be fair there aren't a lot of people competing in this space.
- great for people with small ears like me and they have variety of fittings for your ear type
- was pretty cheap and easily replaceable at the 25 dollar price point. I paid 25 dollars and these are excellent buy at 17 dollars even if you want to just try them as futuristic fashion accessory lol.

Cons

- obviously no ANC
- left earbud ended up having weird crackling sound from time to time about 9 months in - not sure how the speaks in the quality but something worth mentioning. Mine we refurbished units as well
- Can take some getting used to and can make your ears feel sore - granted this maybe because I have small ears and used there tightest fitting. I wish they would have included the some soft rubber fittings instead of the hard plastic.

Honestly, if you're a commute alot - these would probably be great for you.
