I have this, and I use a Samsung Endurance card, and I still get the annoying faint beep every few minutes. I am told that only VIOFO can get the beep away. I have now learned to tune out the annoying sound what with the current SD Card prices.
I have a transcend high endurance card and I don't hear any beep. I have the A229 plus 2ch.

I really DO NOT recommend any Viofo cameras. I purchased the two sets of the A229 Pro dual and BOTH failed after the one year mark. Many buyers posted of this issue and I, like many, decided it probably won't happen to me. Ya.

The mentality by many has been "Viofo is the best of the Chinese worst" in terms of dash cams so go ahead and buy one. I'm still shopping around for replacements for two cars.

How does this compare to the Rove R2-4K Dual?
We have the Rove R2-4K dual and it comes with a 128gb sd card for $99 at moment. So it's about $120 cheaper than the Viofo 229 w/ same capacity sd card... Reviews say the Viofo is the best, but the Rove also has a Starvis 2 4K sensor and seems good to me.

The A329T is also on sale. It has the front facing telephoto camera that is awesome for picking up plates. Checkout the video comparisons on YT. https://www.amazon.com/VIOFO-A329...0GXVK4KRM/

Almost every breakdown of dash cams I've seen these are highly recommended. I've been dying to buy one for my wife for her vehicle.
If anybody has any any phone on any of the models about things that you didn't like or you went overboard purchasing and found out you didn't need the feature, or just about anything, please let me know. I'm going to have to check and see what the 300 series is as I haven't really caught those before.

- A229 Plus and below can use basically any microSD, because they aren't as demanding as the models with IMX678 (4K) sensors
- A229 Pro and above are more picky about microSDs, basically you only have 2 choices, and both are extremely overpriced right now due to market conditions
- A229 Pro and above have been shown to overheat. They have improved cooling on A329, but it's still a risk IMO

I went with a Vueroid S1-4K recently, which is 4K front (IMX678) + 2K rear (IMX575). It's overpriced for a 4K/2K system, compared to Viofo's dual 4K A329S at the same price. However, Vueroid's audio recording quality is much better, and I specifically wanted it for recording sportscars with modified exhausts on our California mountain roads, so I want to capture the full experience with the best sound. Even the top Viofos only do 96kbps audio (1950s radio standard? Unacceptable! For a $400 dashcam it better be at least as good as an entry-level cellphone cam, which are all 128-192kbps+). Vueroid as a company also seems to focus heavily on reliability. Someone did a factory tour recently and showed all their heat/shock testing setups

OK, I just spent a lot, but I went all in. 329 with 3CH, interior cam, HK6 kit, 1TB Samsung SSD and 256GB Viofo card since it was cheaper than the SanDisk.
Boy, OP should get a cut of my purchase. 😆
