The Gen 1 is extendable but Gen 2 is lighter

The newer gen was $20 more on prime day. It has a much lower idle power consumption. So the newer unit runs longer because it's more efficient while having simular battery and power output specs.

Gen 2 switches over faster so is better if using as a UPS. Gen 1 is 20ms to switch over and gen 2 is 10ms.
