This coil foaming cleaner is aimed at AC, mini split, and dehumidifier maintenance, and it can cut through heavy grime when the coils are accessible. It worked on a musky dehumidifier and on an AC unit that had not been cleaned in decades, though the latter took two cans. A garden hose rinse after the foam helped clear residue and improved efficiency. The main catch is fit and access, since some setups need a tube adapter or outer cover removal, and the foam may not reach every spot.
Homeowners cleaning a neglected air conditioner coil, because the foam can lift years of caked dirt and restore noticeably better efficiency.
People who need a cleaner that reaches deep into tight coil passages, because the foam may not get where the grime is and a spray-and-rinse cleaner can work better.
It can work well on AC coils, including mini-splits and outside units. One report says it cleaned a decades-uncleaned AC unit after two cans, and another uses it yearly on mini-splits and the outdoor unit.
Yes, a tube adapter may be needed to direct the foam onto the evaporator coil, and for drain pans you may need to plug the tube into the drain plug. A universal tube adapter is specifically mentioned as a practical way to aim the foam where it needs to go.
It can, especially on heavily caked coils. One report says an older unit ran much more efficiently afterward, with cooling output improving enough that power consumption dropped by about 30% or more in another case.
A practical method is to use a garden hose on jet, spray from the inside out on the first pass, then flush from the outside after it dries to remove residue. That approach was reported to clear heavy buildup and improve AC efficiency.

This stuff indeed works, and works well. I had an AC unit that hadn't been cleaned in decades, and had years of dandelion fluff and dirt caked on. It took 2 cans, but eventually I was able to clean it all off with this stuff.

Spray it and let it sit for few mins and use garden hose low flow setting to outward direct the water from fins right?

I ended up using the jet setting on my garden hose, because my water pressure isn't that high to begin with. Indeed, I sprayed from the inside out on the first pass. After it was dry, I flushed from the outside to remove any residue. It was seriously caked.
AC unit is running much more efficiently now, much less often for the same result.

The cleaner can work well on heavily neglected AC coils with years of caked-on dirt and dandelion fluff.
The cleaner can be used on dehumidifiers that develop a musky odor and residue buildup.
The cleaner can improve cooling efficiency when paired with a thorough rinse using a garden hose jet setting.
The foam cleaner can be directed onto evaporator coils using a universal tube adapter or similar tool.
The foam may require a tube adapter and careful setup to reach drain pans and connect to the drain plug.
Accessing the coils can require removing a protective case or outer frame, which can take several hours on older units.
Using an aggressive sprayer setting can bend air conditioner fins if care is not taken.
Foam coil cleaners may be too expensive and foam may not reach the areas that need treatment for some jobs.
