Needed a string trimmer and stumbled upon this. While clearance prices vary per store, I had 3 stores with inventory priced @$139.50. Was able to grab one at a Home Depot that had 2 in stock while further stores had 5+. Extremely convenient as the included 6Ah battery makes a great extra for my 21" lawnmower. Additionally, the included charger is faster than the base 40v slim charger included with other 40v kits.

I used my Home Depot app and searched Ryobi 17" trimmer. If your default store location has it in stock and is on clearance, you can click on it to show you the clearance price. If the price is higher than $139, you can always click on the location to show other locations in stock. Then, change the default store to reflect the store pricing. Quite easy, actually. Was able to locate a nearby store in minutes. This is in Houston.

Just sent one of the similar model (15") in for warranty after 2 seasons right in the peak of the season. The power head sounds like it is about to explode. Services center said probably takes about 2 months to get it or some replacement back.

Do yourself a favor just get the 17in ego powerless with line EQ. This deal is worth it for the battery alone, but from my experience these Ryobi batteries will brick themselves within 18mo for no reason at all.
