Crazy price, tempting even if it fits a niche I don't need. Raleigh NC (Capital Blvd) shows 2 in stock, a "good" and "fair." Probably the same dummy bought and returned both because they didn't realize Snapdragon kinda has its on use case.

These are likely display units. These were on display in almost every store. BestBuy has 1000+ stores so many demo units to sell. They have almost this low in price for a couple weeks. I've been thinking about it but snapdragon with Windows just isn't a good choice for me in the end & ASUS does not stand by their warranty on demos while Lenovo and Dell will. That kinda feels salty. Those demo units make sales possible for ASUS. Can't they be courteous to the person who buys something that has thousands of hours of beneficial (to ASUS) use already on it? Low class imso.

I could see that happening. I had a company who was a PITA regarding an Amazon open box one time for the same reason. Brand new, just a prior customer return. They wanted to be hard a**es about it to the point I just started a new warranty claim and photoshopped the "open box" off the order confirmation receipt.

If you are able to get a Fair condition laptop.... be sure to set the lowest expectations and re-think if you'll have to drive more than an hour away....

I drove 1.25 hours to a Best Buy for a Fair condition laptop hoping for a decent laptop. When I arrived and checked in for the pickup, they tried to say this condition of the laptop is considered Fair. (See Attached Pic). I couldn't believe it! Best Buy is truly a 50/50 shot when it comes to Open Box conditions. I of course refused and cancelled to the order on the spot but it unfortunate I wasted time and gas for this effort.

The most unfortunate fact is that you can no longer call a Best Buy store directly and simply ask the condition of the open box item based on your order number. Knowing what was documented under the condition printed on the open box condition would help decide if I wanted to pickup or cancel the order.

So this is a Snapdragon X Plus, basically its a Chromebook but doesnt have any Chromebook features like Gboard and Android apk plays, and any google stuff integrated. Just a half baked Miucrosoft attempt to compete with Chromebook? I mean it doesnt run any of the apps I use daily like AutoCAD or Photoshop or any other Windows app. Cant even install fresh windows on it because its not x86. Years ago Microsoft failed at this but brought it back again.
