Do we know if these work with Pixel phones? I bought some off Amazon that don't.

Edit - My Pixel 10 is not in the list on Woot, but earlier ones are:
WIDE COMPATIBILITY:ANYPLUS USB-C to 3.5mm audio adapter can adapt to various Type-C interface mobile devices: iPhone 16/15 series, Pixel models (5, 4, 4 XL, 3, 3 XL), Galaxy series (S24, S23, S22, S21, S21 Ultra, S20 Ultra, and more). It also supports Note series (Note 20, Note 10), Galaxy Tab S5e and S6, as well as HW P40 Pro, P30 Pro, P20 Pro, and OnePlus devices like 6T, 7, and 7 Pro, ensuring a seamless audio experience.

The letters 'DAC' aren't anywhere on that product listing. My Pixel 7 requires a DAC to play thru a 3.5mm port, so these wouldn't work for me.

By definition any USB-C to 3.5mm audio adapter employs a DAC. Otherwise, it would be impossible to convert the sound from a digital source into an analog output.

Having said that, despite the price being attractive, there doesn't seem to be any information about what actual DAC this employs, which will affect sound quality and efficiency driving headphones.

The specific DAC in this is irrelevant because it will not affect sound quality in any noticeable way. Even cheap DACs have improved to the point where 99% of users could not hear the difference between a cheap DAC and a higher end one, like ESS or AKM. I have some cheap adapters like the ones in the post and the Apple version, and there is no audible difference. If you go back to previous posts for cheap adapters, you will find many similar comments. Also, a DAC only converts digital to analog, it has no bearing on actually driving the headphones, which is what amplifiers do.

I just got an active pair for $4, next day delivery on Amazon. Never heard of either brand, but probably better to skip this if your phone isn't listed.

This is incorrect. Many phones include built in DACs and route analog audio through the USB-C connector which connects straight to the 3.5mm port. For those you just need a USB-to-3.5mm adapter, no conversion necessary. Many phones, like Pixels, do not include a built in DAC. A digital signal is sent through the USB-C port and an external DAC chip handles the conversion.

Not true, while at this point virtually all of these adapter includes a dac there were plenty that did not have a dac. When the 3.5mm was first removed some phones just passed the already converted audio signal through the usb c port and used a PASSIVE usb c to 3.5mm adapter. I figured everyone remembered the issues in the beginning when you would try to pinch pennies and buy a cheap dongle thinking you got a good deal to only get something that didn't work with your phone because it didn't have a dac was just a passive converter.

Awful. These things have so much background noise. Also for some reason some words at beginning of sentences get cut off? At low volumes, when someone speaks a sentence and pauses, the first part usually a word is missing. Almost like it pauses processing, and takes a bit to resume. I can tell because the hissing stops. Could be an android issue, but I tried it directly on a device that also had a 3.5mm and I wasn't having the same issues.
