I said good luck getting the wifi to work for people who are planning to go there the first time so they don't rely on the wifi exclusively, nothing about people shouldn't download in advanced. I downloaded in advanced because someone, like me, said the same then.
Zipair wifi provided by Starlink. Thanks, Elon?

Cheap flights for sure, but know that it's cheap for a reason. Tokyo in the summer is awful if you're not used to high heat and humidity. Think like 95 degrees weather with 95% humidity. Basically you're sweaty and sticky the moment you step outside and there will be mosquitoes to boot.
Sounds like Houston

Not worse, but similar.
I was in Tokyo and other parts of Japan in October 2024 for 3 weeks. It was more of dry heat in compare to Vietnam's humidity.

It's fine once summer is over, which it is in October. I just mentioned that it's awful during the summer months.

The prices are going up. I had booked in March California to Tokyo for November on the full flat seats. They were $1700 each, now they are nearly $2900.

I guess they're discouraging tourists from departing then, exacerbating the problem Wink

I live in Florida and what you describe is the norm here. It looks like I can save a bundle by going to Tokyo in the summer and not be bothered by the weather or insects. Thanks for the heads up!

During the summer months, it pretty much is. And possibly even worse during peak typhoon season in August/September.

Yea, but I live in Houston and I'm not walking all around the city so it's going to be hot walking all around in Japan.
