This sale is strongest for Brooks Ghost and Altra running shoes, especially if you want a roomy forefoot or a zero drop feel. Ghost Max in normal width fits a 4E foot for some, and the Ghost series in 4E is described as fitting well across multiple versions. The shoes also helped during recovery from a fractured ankle. The main limits are sparse sizing, with little beyond men's 13 and almost nothing above 11.5, and wide sizes are largely absent. Altra's anatomical toe box and zero drop feel may take adjustment, and a wide midfoot can still be a problem.
Common Questions (5)
The Ghost Max can fit a 4E wide foot in normal width, and the Ghost Max 4E is also reported to fit properly. The Ghost series in 4E has been worn comfortably, while the lower heel-to-toe drop on the Max 2 can put extra pressure on the toes.
No wide or extra-wide Brooks sizes are included here. The selection also appears limited overall, with nothing larger than men's size 13 and almost nothing above 11.5.
It can be a strong recovery shoe after an ankle fracture because the cushioning and support were described as especially helpful during recovery. The Ghost Max line is also being bought again by people who already own earlier versions.
Yes. The Torin 8 has an anatomical toe box and a zero-drop platform, which can feel unusual at first but may be more comfortable once you adjust to it.
The shoes can work well for a wide forefoot, but they may not suit a wide midfoot. That makes fit more forgiving in the front while still potentially tight through the middle.
