Usually, this hovers around $649 - $669, and might include a free AIO Cooler and/or game. But this sale puts the savings in your pocket, and includes a free AIO Cooler too.
You must mean the regular 9950X, not the 9950X3D. I did a quick check and there was a price drop in June 2025 for the 9950X (non-3D variant).
You may be correct that there is almost no perceivable difference between the standard 9950X and the 270k+. However, for users looking to take advantage of the extra L3 Cache provided by 3D V-Cache, the 9950X3D is superior.
Regarding 4K Gaming, based on my personal experience with my 9950X3D that I've owned since December 2025, the main benefit of running an X3D CPU at 4K is improving the 1% and 0.1% lows. A secondary benefit is boosting performance with FSR/DLSS.
Memory prices may or may not come down in price next year. If you want or need an upgrade sooner than later, this deal will save you $130 directly - which you can put towards a kit of RAM or other components.
As for whether the 9950X3D will be available at $569 during Zen 6's launch - don't count on it.
Based off the 7950X3D's history, that was silently discontinued before the 9950X3D released. With a best price of $450 - $465 during the summer preceding the 9950X3D's March 2025 release, the 7950X3D's sale price continually went up until it disappeared in February 2025. If Zen 6 X3D launches by September 2027, I'd expect Q4 this year to be when AMD silently discontinues the 9950X3D. If they leave any product in production until Zen 6 X3D, it'd be their more expensive 9950X3D2 - but I doubt it'd ever drop below the 9950X3D's $699 MSRP.
A new GPU is solid advice, but not everyone needs one. That said, if you need help figuring out which one to get, or if you even need one, feel free to PM me (with your system specs).
Community Reviews
This bundle pairs AMD's Ryzen 9 9950X3D with a free 240mm AIO, making it a strong high end pick for gaming and productivity. The chip is praised for excellent 4K gaming, especially better 1 percent and 0.1 percent lows, while the extra cores help keep the system responsive under load. Pricing is also attractive, with this sale landing below the usual $649 to $669 range and even beating a June low. The main caveat is value versus cheaper alternatives or waiting for Zen 6, especially if you already have a capable AM4 or 7950X3D setup. A solid option if you want top tier AM5 performance now.
Common Questions (4)
If you need the performance now, this deal saves about $130 versus typical pricing and can be put toward RAM or other parts. If you already have a solid AM4 system or a 7950X3D, waiting for Zen 6 may make more sense because AM5 support runs through 2029 and the next generation could change pricing.
At 4K, the main benefit is better 1% and 0.1% lows rather than a big average-FPS jump. It can be close to an Intel Ultra 270K+ in perceived gaming performance, while the 9950X3D is favored if you want the extra L3 cache and stronger productivity headroom.
Yes. The deal is for the 9950X3D CPU bundled with a Cooler Master Elite 240mm AIO liquid cooler, and that cooler is part of the value being discussed. A separate referenced option does not include the CPU AIO cooler.
The bundle can drop below the listed $569 price with additional card discounts; one purchase came out to $546 out the door after an extra 4% off. That makes the effective savings larger than the headline deal price.
