This unit had "false" burrs. You can see a photo of the burrs on Krups product page: https://www.krupsusa.com/BREAKFAS...8000035582

If you compare to a real flat burr, you can see the Krups is not as sharp, has fewer edges, and more screw holes. This won't achieve the consistency of a real flat burr. Not saying it's unusable though.
