So I was looking at toys for my two young lads and saw this on Amazon and I thought maybe you or Finzzy may be interested in this set for your sweet little fur babies. Not sure if it's a good deal....original price looks a bit inflatedlaugh out loud What makes it slick to me is the racecar....OMG can you imagine how ADORABLE the babies would be zooming around in that!!!!!!!

I just found out I'm allergic to nuts...WTF Woot I don't understand how you can eat them all your life then you're all of a sudden allergic laugh out loud It shows up as "low" on the scale they used when they did blood tests on almost everything. I ended up getting tested because I was eating pistachios about a month and a half ago and my mouth and face and stomach was covered in hives. Then I went to a salad bar and just had veggies and dressing about a week later....same thing. They think I have allergies to preservatives but they can't test for them. So treenuts showed positive and also peanuts. So now I have an epi pen....just when I thought I already had a full blown personal pharmacy LMAO

Om my gosh, really? How scary! I know people can outgrow allergies, even outgrow Asthma, but I wasn't aware you could develop a new allergy to a food like nuts, especially if you have been exposed to them all of your life. So what happens? Are you in danger when you go out to eat, or shop, or go to places where there are nuts? Is it life threatning? Frown hug

Well at this point it shows low on their scale or range so no not life threatening. They will test me every 6 months to see if it gets worse. They gave me a script for the pens just in case I do eat some and don't realize it and the reaction effects my breathing. The ENT said I don't need to avoid foods that were manufactured in a factory that also has nuts so thankfully it's not going to be life changing. They told me to just not eat any nuts.

A good friend of mine has a little boy (8 years old) who has a peanut/treenut allergy so severe that his numbers are off the chart when he is tested on a very regular basis. He is my daughters best friend. He has to sit at a special table at lunch time that has to be fully cleaned everyday before he sits there. The only way another child can sit at his table is if they bring a lunch that has labels for everything. He can not be near nuts at all. When my husband has gone out of town to Canada for work he bought him bags of candy bars because they have a nestle plant that is 100% peanut free. I think it was about 2 years ago that the poor little guy had his first candy bar that way. The bags even have a circle with a peanut with a slash over it.

He is such a sweet little boy and I can not imagine the fear his parents have every minute and the fear he has. It's hard too because some parents disregarded the letters that were sent home to ask that they don't send in any baked goods for parties etc because he can't participate let alone be in the classroom. Even a contaminate can put him into anaphalactic shock in seconds. My friend even made lists of alternate goodies and she also offered to make cookies, cupcakes, anything as long as it's safe. Some people sent in stuff anyway. I don't understand it at all.

His mom and dad taught me how to read labels, administer the epi pen and nebulizer. They also taught me about anaphalactic shock and what to watch for. I was then able to help her out if she had to work weird hours and I could pick him up from school and watch him at our house. I was happy she felt comfortable enough to trust us. I watched that little guy like a hawk nod I even brought him and my daughter to Chuck E Cheese.

They moved out of state in the fall because she wanted to find a better school for his needs along with the fact that she was sick of NY weather laugh out loud

We miss them so much. We talk all the time but we all miss being together. Our families did so much together and I just adore her kids. My daughter is devastated. He is also having a very hard time missing his friends. I can't say she has had a better experience with dealing with the new school. I just wish they would come homeFrown

But that's what you do to cats when they're bad. You shave them or spray them with a water bottle. Sadwalk Finzz is the one eating nuts! Hide

That is not going to be fun, with so many things containing and/or having been processed with peanuts and/or peanut oils in them EEK! You better be careful and always have that Epi-Pen with you hug Hubby is allergic to bees, but refuses to carry an Epi-pen with him; when he gets stung and begins to swell; we end up rushing him to a hospital; stupid ass Mad

Have to ask Coverlaugh Is is just the type of nuts that grow on trees that are eaten?
