Have you compared this to the cheaper PETG you are referring to? I have. This prints faster than most PETG I've used and is significantly better than the likes of Kingroon. I'm pushing close to 500 rolls of filament at home and this is the best PETG from any of the affordable brands I've tried, and I've tried a lot.


Not all PLA, PETG, TPU, PC, ABS etc is the same.

Yeah, good take. Elegoo Rapid is extremely fast and reliable for me. At $8 a KG this is a steal. I wish they had CYM here.

That is correct. $5/kg petg prints well at 60mms vs 120 to 150mms.

That's correct. I exclusively print functional parts so slow print speed is needed anyway. However, for prototyping, I do crank up the speed to 100mms but extrusion seems inconsistent when using inexpensive$5/kg petg.

I don't know what drugs you are on, but in the real world, PETG spools cost $15 and higher..

$8 a spool is a very good deal. Also, Elegoo has good filaments.
