Those interested in the process will enjoy this. And this is my video on coffee roasting. The darker the coffee, the less caffeine and natural flavor comes from the coffee. You're getting a burned flavor, which is more consistent, so more people prefer it.

I'd love to get a more robust (more metal parts) one but just can't justify the cost for how much I'd use it.

Serious question, but how long does it take to hand grind enough for a full 12cup pot? I am not that big of a coffee nerd and I like my conical burr grinder but my best guess answer to that question is definitely a blocker for me (and it may not even be relevant for a lot of coffee nerds but I just like the convenience of drip and to get things moving in the morning because I hate the mornings haha)
