Edit 8/27/2026, Looks like trade-in deal is MOSTLY DEAD. On 8/21 it was revised to no longer accept broken devices, and on 8/27 modified so that older devices only get a $450 credit instead of $900.

Original post: Existing T-Mobile customers can get up to a $900 trade in value on Google Pixel 11 phones. The trade in can include some lower end phones, and works on older calling plans (including Go5G and ONE, but not simple choice)

The correct rebate only showed when I was logged into my T-mobile account. It says it's for "Essentials and select legacy plans". My old T-Mobile ONE plan worked. (edit: others have reported Simple Choice plans don't work, only a $250 rebate)

For a base Google Pixel 11 this would make it basically free. For higher end models it's a $900 discount.

Interestingly, the plan says the credits are split out over 36 months, but the checkout and my actual order confirmation show it's only spread over 24 months.

This depends on when the free line(s) were attained. More recent free lines have no equipment upgradeability in their term and conditions. That rendered free lines far less useful on older plans, that was the main way we got any new equipment at all.

At this point buying a phone at full price and shopping for a cheap MVNO will save you a lot of money than being locked in for 36 months for a high price plan from the main carriers.

You will 100% be moved. I was auto moved with increase in price last month. I called in and it was confirmed that all magenta plans are being terminated and moved to the new plan type. The silver lining is the insider discount remains.

I just rolled mine back to the 59.99 for two lines. It takes five minutes. Just "change plan."
