I'm contemplating on upgrading my ip13pm Jsut for the usb-c connectivity. With Apple pricing, I doubt that it would drop to 700 anytime soon, maybe in 2 years.

ok ? $840 could buy quite a number of adapters. Also not sure what point you are trying to make to his comment given $699 would mean you'd be wasting less money on such a minor reason.
