I mostly use it connected to the tv and use a wireless controller instead of the joy cons.
will they accept it even with this defect and maybe reduce the trade in value?
would it be better to go to the store for the trade in so that they can check it there?

I have the day 1 switch, so i'd maybe be better off selling it on ebay since they can jailbreak it, thus it's worth more. But after ebay fees and shipping it could end up still better to do this... If I do trade it in, whoever gets it hits the jackpot because I've only used my switch probably like 20 or 30 hours total and it being jailbreakable...

First oled will always win compare to lcd producing punching color and true dark. So oled before lcd
Switch 2 was hail has one of the best lcd screen when it was reviews. Most comment people talk about the lcd was after DIGITAL FOUNDRY did the analysis then everyone talk on how bad it is lol.
The same digital foundry that bashed the switch 2 for been underpower and that wont be able to run newest game (or unreal 5 engine) that alot of newer games are even outperforming xbox series S they stay quite.
And yes, the OLED screen does look nicer, but not so much that you shouldn't buy an S2.
Edit: A few other mentionables: the expansion microSD cards have to be the more expensive "express" versions for the S2. They're more than double the cost of regular microSD cards. Also, the joy-cons are typically $100 now (vs as low as $50 for the originals on sale), and have the same joystick tech that is prone to drift from the old ones. Finally, on games that are released for both S1 and S2, the S1 games are less expensive.
