Moto Tag 2 is a small Android tracker that stands out for fitting AirTag accessories and working well for luggage, cars, bikes, and other everyday items. The Google Find Hub setup handles the actual tracking, while the Moto app adds firmware updates and extras like ringing your phone or using the tag as a remote camera button. Battery life is the main concern, with reports ranging from about three months to much longer use, and the listing also draws criticism for calling it a GPS tracker. It is a compact option if accessory compatibility matters more than absolute tracking power.
Android owners who want a small tracker that fits AirTag accessories, because the dimensions are close enough for many cases and mounts.
Yes, the Moto Tag 2 is close enough to Apple AirTag dimensions that many AirTag accessories fit it. That makes it easier to use with luggage bands, wristbands, wallets, and other cases made for AirTags.
Battery life is reported as the main caveat: some units have lasted around 9 months or longer on the original battery, while others have needed battery changes every 3 months or less. Firmware updates reportedly helped some devices, but not enough to fully fix the issue.
Yes. It can be paired through Android Fast Pair and tracked with Google's Find Hub alone. The Moto app is only needed for extra features like firmware updates, double-press shortcuts, ringing your phone from the tracker, and using it as a remote camera button.
No. It is a Bluetooth tracker for Google Find Hub, and calling it GPS is misleading. Actual location tracking depends on nearby Android devices in the Find Hub network, not built-in GPS.
Yes. It has been used on motorcycles and in cars, and it is also practical for luggage verification at airports or for checking where a parked car is. It can help reduce anxiety about theft or losing track of valuable items.
I've been meaning to pick one of those up, maybe next time my battery dies. I hid one of these on my motorcycle (and hid an airtag in a different spot) helps with the paranoia of having a bike that 2 guys could lift into a van.
I have the first version of these and as noted the battery life wasn't great but the tracker itself worked great and far cheaper than other brands and a lot smaller. I like that it was able to be used with some of the air tags accessories since there's so many more. Try to find a luggage, band or wristband or something that fits other knockoff brands that aren't Apple or Samsung can be very difficult. This one works very well
For most of my trackers I switched to the UGreen G Line of products... But for the few cases where slimness and accessory compatibility matters, these can't be beat. Gonna upgrade the few I still use. Stupid quantity limit.

I have a set of the version 1's. If anyone is not aware, these match very closely with the dimensions of Apple Airtags. It's close enough that I've bought Airtag accessories and these Mototags fit in them no problem (Magsafe phone wallet, SmallRig Cage (MD4149)).
I'll probably pick up some v2's because as others have mentioned, battery life is not the best on v1's. Alternatively Google has also released the Pixel Tag, but the dimensions on that one are completely different and won't fit Airtag accessories.
I just got the 4 pack at the link you sent for $70, and shipping was free for the 4 pack. They've gone back up to $100. But I think they go on sale frequently. If anyone is looking to get 4 of these later, it may be worth checking.
For privacy concerns, android phones default setting for finding such devices is "With network in busy places only". Which means you'd need more phones in a certain location to see your tag before you get to locate your tag. So this limits the tracking for devices made for Google Find Hub.
If you want a cheaper alternatives, you can get smarttag 2 and sideload utag to get it to work with any android phone. I've had mine for a few months now along with international travel. I've been able to track without any issues. Although the downsides are that the size of these makes them incompatible with airtag accessories and these only get location from samsung (and other utag) devices.
