This is not a GPS tracker. Putting GPS in the title and description is highly misleading.

V1 battery life was awful...I'm not sure I want to give moto another chance as it definitely felt like false advertising

There's a LOT of fine print on the amazon listing for battery life.

TBH I got one of these and tossed it in my car with my first gen moto tag model and it works well.

I've been meaning to pick one of those up, maybe next time my battery dies. I hid one of these on my motorcycle (and hid an airtag in a different spot) helps with the paranoia of having a bike that 2 guys could lift into a van.

I have the first version of these and as noted the battery life wasn't great but the tracker itself worked great and far cheaper than other brands and a lot smaller. I like that it was able to be used with some of the air tags accessories since there's so many more. Try to find a luggage, band or wristband or something that fits other knockoff brands that aren't Apple or Samsung can be very difficult. This one works very well

For most of my trackers I switched to the UGreen G Line of products... But for the few cases where slimness and accessory compatibility matters, these can't be beat. Gonna upgrade the few I still use. Stupid quantity limit.

I have a set of the version 1's. If anyone is not aware, these match very closely with the dimensions of Apple Airtags. It's close enough that I've bought Airtag accessories and these Mototags fit in them no problem (Magsafe phone wallet, SmallRig Cage (MD4149)).

I'll probably pick up some v2's because as others have mentioned, battery life is not the best on v1's. Alternatively Google has also released the Pixel Tag, but the dimensions on that one are completely different and won't fit Airtag accessories.

How awful? Did they last 10 months instead of 1 year?

I just got the 4 pack at the link you sent for $70, and shipping was free for the 4 pack. They've gone back up to $100. But I think they go on sale frequently. If anyone is looking to get 4 of these later, it may be worth checking.

Does this sync with motoeagle WASS for monitoring? Asking for a friend, they need to maintain a virtual fence around, uhm, a settlement if you will.

Jokes aside I'm sure the ID-F will love this

For privacy concerns, android phones default setting for finding such devices is "With network in busy places only". Which means you'd need more phones in a certain location to see your tag before you get to locate your tag. So this limits the tracking for devices made for Google Find Hub.

If you want a cheaper alternatives, you can get smarttag 2 and sideload utag to get it to work with any android phone. I've had mine for a few months now along with international travel. I've been able to track without any issues. Although the downsides are that the size of these makes them incompatible with airtag accessories and these only get location from samsung (and other utag) devices.
