Interested in these, and great price, but I have too many shoes as it is.

I think based on this, listing them as running shoes is a bit off the mark: "Designed for walking, casual workouts and light runs"
...and only one non-Vine review

My 2 cents since I have been part of Vine for over 10 years…. There is no incentive at all to give it a positive review. I've given plenty of 1-2 star reviews to vine products when they are shit. Coming from vine you know it's not a bot but an actual person who tried and reviewed this, and no, there are no kick backs or anything.

Sellers usually submit products to Vine to get good initial reviews to kick-start sales.
And Vine reviews tend to trend positive.

I was a Vine reviewer for a year and also gave honest reviews. But during the process I also noticed that there were Vine reviewers giving good reviews to poor products that they clearly didn't use. So for whatever reason Vine reviewers do often give good reviews for bad products.

So caveat emptor.

But wouldn't some think they need to give 5-star to keep getting free stuff? Even if some ends up crap it's nice to be among the first to get a new product and to get it free. And I know your rating is not *supposed* to affect whether you keep getting freebies but let's be real: why would a company keep giving freebies otherwise? And even IF it didn't influence, the *perception* that it does would be strong enough for folks not to "take a chance".

Maybe I'm wrong, of course.

the company doesn't select vine participants to receive the product, they give amazon a certain number of items to offer via vine and amazon adds them to the vine marketplace where it's first come first served

there is no benefit to fudging reviews; amazon only rates you on percentage of items reviewed, and detail and quality of the reviews

Its width is similar to Altra's non wide size, but I'm not worried about it because the upper material of this shoe looks like a very elastic knitted material🤔
