One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.) Big Grin

I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)

So what have you folks watched recently?

If you guys enjoy Weeds, you might enjoy Breaking Bad. Similar premise (head of family resorting to the drug trade to provide for their family), but kinda the opposite in tone; much more serious with sprinkles of comic relief in between (whereas Weeds is vice versa)

We freaking LOVE Breaking Bad! Like Jaime, we're waiting for the new season. Might not be a bad idea to rewatch the first 3 seasons though.

Breaking Bad is awesome, one of the best pilot episode of any show I've seen.

Have you seen Six Feet Under? It's one of my most favorite shows of all time. The pilot episode of that show was awesome.

Iagree freaking awesome show. amc has a great track record on drama's. i can't wait for mad men to get on netflix (starts in july) so i can catch up. i'm currently addicted to the killing (sundays at 10 pm est). another well written/acted show.

Oh hell yes! The Killing is my new favorite show! Very gritty and spartan. The first episode was slow paced but it was very moving. It also reminds me of Twin Peaks.

Another AMC original fan here. I watch all Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and now The Killing. They are developing a new show called Hell on Wheels, which looks pretty good as well. I saw an extended preview of it while taking a survey. You should Google for information on that show, it's set in the 1800s during the construction of the first railroad and the cities and corruption that come from that.

not yet. its in the first season on amc. its about a murder case in seattle. i'm not saying more so you can experience the full effect when you watch it. its really well done.
