A "Hey I just watched a movie" thread

One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.)
I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)
So what have you folks watched recently?

My GF wanted to see that. Glad you posted that you got distracted, though. I have ADD, so think I should pass on trying to watch that movie.
I guess we aren't as alike as I thought we were. At least we both like Twizzlers.
They're not all flat and waxy.
Aurora Borealis Thanks to jmegirl and the mention of Joshua Jackson!
True Grit Saw the young girl actress on Leno a while back and she totally tripped me out! She was like a miniature very smart adult. She is so well spoken and poised, she really intrigued me.
The Company Men Looks pretty good, we'll see!

Have 2 movies for tonight. Fingers crossed.
I was also fairly disappointed with Alice in Wonderland. I got a bit excited about it, I'm sure, but I should have known better. I still need to watch the Disney one again. I think that's the only one I've been happy with, but it's also been a while since I last saw it.
"Katt Williams: The Pimp Chronicles P.1" it is an audio of his comedy show and its just black humor with such titles as, 'Haters' and 'Weed'. I just didn't like the 'Michael Jackson' chapter and the CD is too short only 37 minutes. 2.5/5
"Weeds Season 1" it's funny but just a little too unbelievable. I'm sick of seeing her dead husband, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as every dying character. He's the father in 'Supernatural', he died in 'Grey's Anatomy' can he just die and go away. He's not adorable any more just annoying. Ok, weed, mild sex, a rude son and always a sassy, big, black woman. Nuff said. 2.5/5
"Saint John of Las Vegas" this movie is just a dark comedy full of smiley faces, Sarah Silverman and Steve Buscemi's bad teeth. It takes place in Las Vegas and you take a journey with a group of people who are just trying to find there luck. It's ok, not always funny but cute. The little person, Peter Dinklage, is always funny. 2.5/5
"Penelope" omg, hilarious from start to finish and look Peter Dinklage again. I liked it and I will buy this movie. It's funny and scandulous all in one and great for all ages
Jackie Brown - Typically I like Tarantino, but I have to say, this one sucked majorly. The characters were not interesting at all and some of the scenes were so drawn out, it became annoying. By the end, I didn't even care what happened. Maybe I was hoping for more of a Reservoir Dogs/Pulp Fiction type movie. 1.5/5
Pirates: On Stranger Tides - was somewhat lacking in the fun/sense of adventure. Felt long and drawn out. Mermaids were nice though.
I am number 4 - entertaining, some action, wonder if they are planning a sequel
I hadn't thought about that. He died in the beginning of Watchmen too.

"Cry of the Owl" - A remake of the 80s French version (with Julia Stiles and Paddy Consedine). I didn't think much of the original and this one was every bit as unenjoyable (and unbelievable). 1/5
"Enthiran" (a.k.a. "Robot") - The biggest budget Bollywood movie ever. It reminded me of an Indian cross between "Short Circuit" and "I, Robot". I don't usually care for drawn out action/fight/chase scenes, but these were actually pretty entertaining (very tongue in cheek.) There were 4-5 long song/dance skits - a quick FF + 5 minutes took care of them. Guilty pleasure - 3.5/5
