One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.) Big Grin

I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)

So what have you folks watched recently?

i say he was poorly written for three reasons.

1. he needed that staff to control people. he should be able to do so with his words alone.
2. he went toe-to-toe with cap in a fight. despite being a god he's pretty frail, and not a fighter.
3. he was tricked by black widow. no way would the god of lies/tricks/deceit be tricked by the black widow.

Gamer - 4/5 - Not quite as good as I expected, but still a very cool movie.

Drive Angry - 5/5 - First off, I'm not a fan of Nick Cage, but this movie was great. I'd rank it somewhere in my top 10 favorites movies ever. Greatest scene:

Dark Tide - 2.5/5 Gave me a headache. Good suspense, okay story. The lighting was too dark and the water too murky to see much of what was going on. In the end, it would've been nice if everyone had been eaten by a shark.

Beneath the Darkness 0/5 - People paid to see this? Again, Dennis Quaid's acting talent is underused. Dreamscape was the first film I saw him in and that was good.

Another vote for Avengers. The dialogue in the movie was terrible but luckily I don't care. There was lots of fighting, explosions, and The Hulk. 5/5.
