A "Hey I just watched a movie" thread

One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.)
I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)
So what have you folks watched recently?

Red Dawn - Never saw the original, but I liked this remake.
This is 40 - Far too long but there were some funny parts.
Life of Pi - The story was interesting before he got on the life boat. After that the movie seriously dragged.
The Call - Good, suspenseful movie. Great performance by Halle Berry.
The Big Bad Swim - A swim teacher and his adult students battle depression, phobias, divorce, dating, and job changes. Fairly funny.
Escape Fire - Documentary on healthcare crisis. Interesting but scattered, and once again, instead of focusing on the real problems you get little saccharine profile stories that wrap up nicely to make you feel like the film has accomplished something. It is interesting in what it does examine so you should watch it.
Hit and Run -
"Harvie Krumpet" - Claymation - very similar to "Mary and Max" 2.5/5
"Judgment at Nuremburg" - Very good - top notch acting by some old school names. 3.5/5
"Paradise Lost" - I watched all three parts of this HBO doc (about some gruesome murders of innocent kids.) Hard to watch at times (I had to turn away quite a bit) but it was a really interesting story.
"Eyes Without a Face" - Awful "classic" horror film. 1/5

also, i dunno who this Tom Hardy guy is but holy moly good googly moogly
Nothing special. Not as funny as the other 2 or maybe just got used to the humor, not sure. Story was meh, villain was meh, ending was meh. I think Avengers made my expectations too high.
Safe - Another Jason Statham movie (DH is doing a theme this weekend on the movie selections) but this one was much more enjoyable. Very fast paced, lots of shooting and a good storyline. I particularly enjoyed the unusual camera angles on some of the scenes. It's violent, which is not usually my sort of thing but the storyline made it watchable. The kid in it is a very good actor. 3.5/5

Kill the Irishman - True story of teamsters leader Danny Greene, a man the mob had trouble killing. Talk about the luck of the Irish. The documentary included in the extras was far more interesting.
