The real benefit of this plan is for people who still like to have access to retail store support (billing, upgrades, technical) and the ability to speak with live representatives over the phone - you don't get that option with most prepaid MVNOs.
Yes, the plan I have is $30/mo for two T-Mobile lines for 15 months, and as long as nothing goes wrong it's just T-Mobile. But if something does go wrong, you're entirely on your own.
After the 15 months, the price doubles. I knew that was going to happen and find that acceptable as the initial period was promotional. But I'll be looking for some other supplier. Price is important, but for me it's not as important as being able to get help if there's an issue. Google's support is, as with most of their 'products', essentially nonexistent. FYI
