In case my setup might be of interest, I connect my most critical end devices to these UPSs, and the UPS connects to a larger capacity Bluetti/Jackery with 2 and 3 kWh. I do this because the circuits in my house are dirty and sometimes a compressor kicking on in the same circuit across the house can drop my voltage significantly and/or cause a startup surge. Power stations can surge up temporarily to meet that demand. I also have an Ecoflow setup for whole house backup which gives my systems a tertiary backup supply. Additional benefit of having the power station in the middle is the DC PV inputs so I can connect up to 1kw of portable solar panels in case of emergencies.
Community Reviews
This CyberPower pure sine wave UPS is aimed at keeping a PC, NAS, router, or home server running cleanly through brownouts and outages, with enough headroom for safe shutdowns and monitoring through USB or NUT. It has worked well with Synology, unRAID, and Home Assistant setups, and it has handled repeated grid to UPS switchovers without issues. The main tradeoff is runtime, since the lead acid battery is much smaller than a power station and is only expected to last a few hours at light loads. Battery replacement is also a consideration, though the cells are inexpensive to swap.

The new ones cost more, the one you originally posted is $300

And the batteries don't even appear to be replaceable but they are $300 for an extra one:

The Cyber Power is a $20 lawn mower battery found anywhere that you can replace every 5 years.

Comparing deal to deal I found the river 3 to be way better overall. I'm glad you are happy with the old school style. I'm sure they still have their place.
Just had a power outage over the weekend and the river 3 plus ran my home server for 2.5 hours before NUT gracefully shut it down at 25% battery remaining, then it continued running my router and cable modem for another 2 hours when power was restored.

River 3 Plus battery is 286Wh $300
Cyber Power are ~100Wh $25
You're comparing something that's a tenth of the price to something with three times more capacity. Normal people don't usually consider spending 10x more money to get a 3x return a wise thing.
The difference is you get two brand new Cyber Power batteries at $40-50 or whatever over the course of a decade vs buying a new external battery pack at $300 or an entirely new unit every decade. And when your shit fails, you can't "wait until a sale comes around". EcoFlow aren't replaceable unless you're spending the high end multi-thousand-dollar line.
River 3 isn't even the leader in this segment, the Anker 521 is about 33% cheaper and the same base technology. LiOn batteries, regardless of who makes them aren't usually easily replaceable and cost more.
LiOn batteries, if you have a use case, cost more, fail more expensive, but are generally superior to Lead Acid... If you have a use-case for them. Otherwise, for most people, they don't make sense in this category.
LiON is much better for cycles daily (think: your phone). For stuff that just stays plugged in all day and only kicks in when needed (most people's use case for this)... It doesn't offer any benefit, and you're paying for capability you never use. Lead Acid's main degradation mode is the ongoing/slow discharge over ~5 years... Solvable with a $20 lawn mower battery. Lion dies slower, but requires an entirely new unit. Other than the CyberPower board itself dying, $20 every 5 years keeps it operating like new at a smaller investment point.
You're comparing apples to oranges and pretending it's the same.

Where are you finding a new or refurb cyberpower UPS for $25 lol
I always wondered who was still buying these lead acid UPS units.

I clearly mentioned the $300 battery replacement:
"And the batteries don't even appear to be replaceable but they are $300 for an extra one:
https://us.ecoflow.com/products/r...9904817225"
I again literally added the word battery to remove ambiguity:
"River 3 Plus battery is 286Wh $300
Cyber Power are ~100Wh $25"
But if you want to keep mis-representing everything, if you're throwing refurb in there at least be apples to apples and compare it to a CyberPower refurb which once again undercuts the base of your argument:
https://slickdeals.net/f/19896756-cyberpower-1500va-900w-sinewave-ups-system-159-99-refurb
You should probably also pause and consider the output of the thing you're jerking off to is only 600w and these Cyber Powers are 900w or 1000w depending on model.
You can keep paying more for marketing but don't pretend like you've found some cheaper and better thing when most people's use case doesn't call for the price premium you're defending
