Visit the deal page on a desktop browser. Also do store pick up if possible to get the phone unlocked right away otherwise you might have to wait for 35 days for unlock.
You can select new customer and pay in full to get the $480 price. You can then select simplicity plan. Once you get the phone you can just cancel the line. Verizon unlocking policy states the devices are unlocked immediately if you pay in full. Their cancellation policy states no activation fee within 3 days and then only prorated charges if you cancel your line within 30 days.
***You might have to wait for 35 days before the phone is unlocked if you don't do store pickup in person as Verizon considers their online store purchase with delivery not secure. You can cancel your line nonetheless as the device will still unlock automatically after 35 days****

See this thread for more details on Verizon line activation and cancellation. Make sure to open a regular account with Verizon first with email address and passwd. Then add the new line in that account. That allows you to track the cancellation and bill through that account even after the line is removed.

This is a steeply discounted Pixel 11 Pro deal through Verizon, but the real appeal is the upfront price cut and the chance to cancel after activation. The strongest reports say store pickup tends to unlock the phone right away, while shipped orders are more likely to trigger a 35 day wait or a manual unlock request. The main catches are Verizon bootloader locking, possible full month billing or prorated charge cleanup after cancellation, and some uncertainty around cashback timing. A good fit if you want the phone and can handle Verizon's extra steps.

Called back to check status 6th 7th 8th. Finally cancelled without unlock on 9th.
Horrible experience. One time one rap told it's unlocked and to try after factory reset and she would follow up on Saturday 10th as she was off in next few minutes and out of office for next two days.
Such a waste of time. Will just wait 35 days
1. I have a phone number that I am happy to transfer to Verizon for this deal (from Tello). Verizon says that they'd lower the per-month bill to $30/mo. In case of problems with getting credits, would they keep the $30/mo for me, or raise it to $45 just because?
2. After I buy the phone and activate the phone line, is it better to just cancel the line (what everyone seems to do) or would it make sense to transfer the line out once more (somewhere unaffiliated with Verizon)? Would transferring the number out increase the chances that their system will just prorate everything instead of closing at the end of month? Is it possible/easy to transfer a number a day after opening a line?
3. My real numbers are with Total Wireless on the BYOD deal. Does anyone know if Total Wireless BYOD account would accept an unlocked Verizon phone? I know they don't accept any other Tracphone devices...
4. Is it enough to just pick up at any "Verizon" store to get it instantly unlocked or do I need to go to a corporate store? Do I need to activate it in the store or just pick it up with an ID?
Thanks for any wisdom!

It was far more simple that I was worried about based on prior comments. Step by step:
-setup Verizon e-sim during phone setup
-complete setup & copying from old device
-visited usmobile.com & began change device process; entered IMEI 2 from P11P
-back to phone: sim, add esim, usmobile grayed out (from previous device), select use different sim
-setup esim
-there was 1 US Mobile e-sim available to install
-click setup
-turn on the sim
And that's it. Very easy and straightforward. Now I just need to cancel the Verizon service...
-ace
Edit to add: it was VERY easy to transfer my Ultra Mobile e-sim from my old device as it was not grayed out; this also confirms the phone's unlocked as Ultra mobile is the TMo network
2nd edit to add: cancellation was very easy (minus getting a real life human being on the phone); rep asked a few questions trying to get me to stay and I politely declined; sent an email link to click through for cancellation; during cancellation there were mentions of the credits to be received for the proration (screengrabs!)
3rd edit to add: received my final bill via email. $11.40 per line.
All is all a highly recommended deal. Thank you!!!
2. You can do either and none has a greater chance to getting prorated bills. The reason I advice people to create a Verizon account with an email and then add the line and subsequently cancel is that you will have a way to chat with them for the bill when the line is cancelled and you will have a clean cancellation from Verizon and track the bill etc.
4. From what we have seen it's just picking it up at the store with an ID which perhaps make it a secure purchase and unlocks the phone instantly. I think both corporate and retail store operate in similar way but I'd prefer corporate.
If Greyed out completely and not able to toggle probably still locked to carrier.
