The high end Daytonas are good jacks and good value, but stop fooling yourself by thinking they're Snap-on equivalents.

Project Farm is great, but what I'd really like to see is a comparison of jacks that have been used and abused for a few years.
BTW, why waste $ polishing the pistons. Its linear velocity is less than one foot per minute. The top of the pistons and O-rings are the load bearing members.

No one is claiming the HF jack is an exact duplicate of the Snap On. I've seen several independent auto repair shops using HF jacks. Zero count for the Snap On. These shops exit to make $, not bragging right.

Argue all you want about the value of the Daytonas compared to the value of the Snap-ons and I will agree with you all day long, just don't claim that they are the same thing.

My $7 HF 90 day warranty hand grinder is still fully functional after +25 years. The only HF tool warranty is a Cr Mo screw driver. Pros don't pay extra money for extended warranty.
I would pick up the $90 HF today if I was in the market for one. Add a wooden block if I need to raise another 2-3" and always use jack stands. Take it home and jack up the front of the car for one day at maximum lift. It's a good jack if it does not leak. Repeat this several times if you are paranoid about paying too little for a decent jack.
